
From the outset the times came crashing down as he improved on last years 1198 lap time, but he waited until the last day and the CCS events to really show what he could do, taking 3 more wins and stripping nearly half a second off the lap record which has stood for 9 years.
Maybe the most surprising aspect is that the bike is a relatively standard 1199s fitted with Akra exhaust, Ohlins replacement internals and a very mild engine tune by Boulder Motor Sport. With the major improvements coming from a revised chassis setup and the Bike Sport Developments electronics package.
