Friday morning was a very different scene with gale force winds, freezing rain and sub-zero temperatures with a forecast for it to get worse by Sunday. Our brave test pilot Darren Fry decided at one point it was worth a shot and managed to hold the bike upright on the ice for 2 laps at a pace more suited to.....well, something very slow. So after a long day cuddling the tyre warmers to stop fingers dropping off in the garage we all decided to cut our losses and head home, Darren back to the UK and me off up to Colorado for a bit more dyno testing at Boulder Motorsports.
Many thanks to Darren for coming along and I know he was disappointed not being able to really ride the 1199, next time...
