Using knowledge, maps and hardware designs from the systems we fit to World Supersport bikes it was relatively simple to create a 'plug n play' kit of parts enabling Boulder Motorsports in Colorado to equip this beautiful R6 Yamaha. The whole system was fitted in under 2 days, started first time and worked faultlessly at the first track event at Chuckwalla. Brian from BMS and I worked together over the net to dial the bike in for this customer, so no need for a trip to the States this time. For details of the full system specification, read more on our web pages. R6 kit |

![]() Kevin has once again proved he and his team are competitive against world class competition taking 10th place at Assen over the weekend. This follows on from a flying start at Philip Island taking 6th and then a not so successful DNF at Aragon. But the story is not yet complete as he is struggling to find the necessary financial backing to complete the season. Here at Bike Sport we support his efforts with technical assistance both on-track and between events but to continue racing at this level he still needs cash so although we hope to join him at Imola it is not yet guaranteed. Good luck Kevin. ![]() Another great weekend with two more wins, making it 8 in a row and the 2013 IDM Supersport championship for Kevin Wahr on board his Yamaha R6. A big thank you to Kevin for allowing me to use his bike and skills as an experimental platform for many new strategies and control methods, every race weekend I spent with him I learned a little more and Kevin was able to push that bit harder. And remember that everything we develop in professional racing is also carried over into our customer bike projects for all type of track use and skill level. ![]() Kevin took another double with over the weekend at Hockenheim making it '6 in a row'. Kevin's skill coupled with a well prepared Yamaha R6 have moved him to an almost unassailable lead in the IDM Supersport championship needing only a few points from two races at the last round in Lausitz to take the championship. Unfortunately I was not with the team last weekend as I was having fun on my own Ducati 749 in Jerez, but I was swapping Email data with the team along with revised maps to help them get the most out of the Magneti Marelli SRT system on the bike. IDM Supersport - Kevin Wahr extends his championship lead at Sachenring taking his 4th win in a row.10/9/2013 ![]() IDM – Supersport rider Kevin Wahr extends his championship lead at Sachenring taking his 4th win in a row. During 2013 the SKM / Kraus Racing prepared Yamaha R6 has steadily moved up the championship points table, and now with some on-track electronic programming from Bike Sport Developments and the latest Magneti Marelli software in his SRT ECU he has stormed into the lead by 11 points with 2 race weekends left. “I first worked with Kevin at Zolder earlier this year and could see he had great potential. He just needed a bit of help from the bike to make his extreme braking style possible, so plans were made following a successful double win at Sleiz to take it to the next level using the Bike Sport Developments licensed version of the SRT software and my help to program it on-track" Mick Boasman ![]() The results at Sachenring speak for themselves being the fastest in every qualifying session by over 1 second, and more impressively every one of his laps in race 1 would have given him pole position in qualifying. The huge gap to second place in each race was almost inevitable. In Kevin’s words the team had achieved "electronic and bike setup perfection…." |
